OK, between teaching, grad school, and taking pictures, I still have not blogged on here. I have had to blog on my teaching blog for a class, but I haven't had the time to spare for this one. I know some of you check on here for updates and I am so sorry. However, tonight is the night and I am going to show you one of the shoots from August. I will add more in a day or two.

This handsome young man is Jason. I took his pictures back at the beginning of August. What beautiful eyes he has! I had fun trying to get some real smiles out of him.

CRAZY MONTH

As you can tell I haven't blogged too much this month - OK, so I haven't blogged at all. That's good and bad. Good becausee I have been so busy taking pictures, bad because I haven't shared them. I am making my husband work on downsizing my favorites while I am teaching this week and I will share them here soon. So give me a day and I will present to you the seniors of 2009.

Little Friends

Here's a few cute shots from a couple of weeks ago. I never did manage to get them on the blog. I did 2 photo shoots in one. A friend of mine wanted some outdoor shots of her boys and she brought a friend along who also wanted some outdoor portraits of her two preschoolers. It was lots of fun trying to chase them around to get some fun and interesting shots of the two brothers playing together. They were only interested in the tractor....lesson learned - bring the tractor out at the end, NOT the beginning! The other set of siblings were also so adorable. I loved it when they held hands. It made my heart smile. The parents will be able to look back in a few years and think, "wow, they actually did like each other at one time." lol

This is a cute one of all 4 friends together and I had to include the one where my friend Jessica was trying to get the boys to walk down the road for us. That portrait just captured a real moment in their day to day lives. I love how the boys were holding on to their mother. All of us with little ones understand this moment and will one day long for them again when our kids no longer need us.

We did find a beautiful place to take portraits that I had never used before. I am so excited to find a new place that I really like. I can't wait to take my kids there.

Danita and Michael's Wedding

Here are a few of my favorite images from my last wedding shoot. This couple was lots of fun. They came up with ideas for several fun pictures and that just started the creative juices flowing. We had a blast just as soon as we got the traditional shots finished. Needless to say, we had lots of laughs that day. They definitely created a treasure cove of wedding day memories.

May photo sessions

I have been so busy lately. For those of you who don't know, I am teaching this semester for a teacher who quite over Christmas break. Teaching on top of all my photography stuff is a little overwhleming to say the least. I have been so bad about blogging for the last month. I shot 5 sessions since Saturday. I believe I am worse than the kids counting down the days til summer break. 10 if you want to know. I'm excited about the upcoming summer and taking lots of senior sessions. I have set a lofty goal for this summer and I am going to work hard to attain it. So pass on my name to any upcoming seniors you know.

This first set of pix is from Prom. A group of friends wanted to have some pictures taken at our Japanese Garden in town. It such a beautiful place to take pictures. I had a lot of fun with these guys. They looked awesome. It brought back a lot of memories from the good ole days.

This picture is a guy who wanted pictures with his car - it is so beautiful. He restored his Challenger. What cracks me up is that he got a cumberbun(I think that's spelled right) and bowtie to match his car - NOT his date. He loves his car and you will see why. He has put a lot hardwork into making it look great.

On Tuesday, I had the privilege of taking family portraits for my best friend's family. I have known them for several years. They have become my family in Georgetown. I am thankful God brought them into my life. Our girls are the same ages and have grown up like cousins. It's been fun watching them grow up.

FINALLY - a beautiful spring day! I had 2 photo sessions today in all this beautiful weather. We had to reschedule several times this week because of all the rain and then we had to wait a few days for it to dry out and the water to recede from a favorite photo spot.

Here are a few shots from my senior session. She has such a gorgeous smile. She had a hard time trying not to smile for the more serious pictures, but she did a great job.

Sneak Peak - Corina

I just finished a photo shoot with this beautiful girl. She is such a natural. She is having some 411 cards made (see the 411-four eleven cards post for more info) and I could only find a few images to eliminate because I loved them all. Sorry Corina, - I don't know how you will narrow your choices for your cards. I had lots of fun taking her pictures and I have already begged her to let me take more of her this summer when it is actually green outside. Korbyn: 1 year old Portrait

How cute is he!!! Korbyn wasn't so sure about wanting his pictures made before the cake came out, but boy did he get excited when he saw his cake. He had so much fun diving in, although, he was a little timid at first. He quickly realized that he wasn't going to be stopped and his smile will tell you how much fun he had. After awhile, his hands weren't good enough, he had to put his feet in the cake, too.

Realtor Business Cards

We have just created a new business card with my husbands Real Estate business in mind. The Century 21 logo is done in foil so it really stands out. We can also have the corners rounded which makes for a very nice look.

Easter basket

I took some Easter portraits tonight and I just had to share this picture. At first, I wasn't sure about this one, but once I looked at it again, I fell in love with it. He was getting tired and needed to rest. Right before his mom picked him up to comfort him, I snapped this photo. I'll have more in a day or day from the entire session, but this one made me smile. I couldn’t wait to share a few images from my session with this adorable little boy. Andrew was so cute and so full of energy. He loved playing with his “rotten eggs”. His Daddy is in the military, serving our country right now in Iraq and we got a picture of Andrew “calling” his daddy. Andrew’s mom ordered a satchel purse to show off his beautiful pictures.

My niece just had this precious baby yesterday morning. He is sooo beautiful. I'm thankful that he is healthy and perfect in every way. God has blessed our family with this little miracle. Congratulations Heather and Daniel.

411 "four-ELEVEN" cards

I am getting ready for the upcoming senior pictures and I wanted to share a cool new item I am offering this year: the four-ELEVEN card! It is a 2-sided business sized card with your picture and all your contact information. No more lost pieces of scrap paper with scribbled phone numbers.

These cards are great to pass out to all your friends to keep in touch as you go off to college and great to give to all your new friends at college. You choose your images and what information you want included on the card.

I will give the first 3 seniors who schedule a portrait session by April 15th a free set of four-ELEVEN cards with any package!

My new photo purse

I got my new photo purse and it is BEAUTIFUL! Of course, I think so because it has a picture of my three beautiful children, but the purse looks great, too. I can't wait to show everybody. It came in just in time for Valentine's Day. Although, my darling husband did send me flowers. 2 dozen roses!!! They look gorgeous on my dining room table.

Princess Bellies

I recently took pictures at a couple of Princess parties. The girls were so cute dressed up like princesses. Although, my sister, niece, and friend were the cutest when they had a belly contest! My niece, Heather is 6 months pregnant, and Missy and Dawn wanted to compare bellies. What do you think?

I have this awesome print at home of a little girl much like these pictures. My husband got tired of looking at another child and told me to take some of our girls like this. So I did! I must say I love them. I have already had them printed and framed and on the wall. If you know me, that is quite an accomplishment.

My neighbors' little girl came outside while I was taking them and I got her pictures, too. She loved it! We had a lot of fun.
